Industry Fellowship: Medical Information/Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Marketing - USciences Experience


The fellow is required to complete the Resident and Fellow Teaching Certificiate Program. At PCP, the fellow has teaching-related responsibilities to develop skills related to preparation and delivery of lectures on topics such as drug information, medical information, database searching, and applied literature evaluation.  The fellow will also participate in supervising in-class learning-centered activities such as shared problem-solving, journal clubs, and workshops. The fellow will have teaching-related responsibilities to develop skills related to mentoring students individually and in small groups on instruction related to development of the professional seminar presentation.

Scholarly Activity/Research

The fellow will be responsible for development, management, and implementation of a longitudinal project.  Under the direction of MCH and PCP research faculty, the fellow will prepare, complete and present their project results internally and at a professional meeting. The fellow is required to submit their manuscript for publication to a peer-reviewed scientific journal.

Professional Growth/Service

The fellow will spend the majority of the time at the MCH campus and will participate in departmental meetings.  There will also be opportunity to attend faculty meetings at the Department of Pharmacy Practice/Pharmacy Administration as scheduling allows and participate in the Value Added activities described below.  The fellow will be expected to lead American Pharmacists Month activities to increase awareness of the pharmacy profession.  The fellow is encouraged to attend professional meetings.
