Industry Fellowship: Benefits
The fellow is an employee of University of the Sciences in
Philadelphia and is entitled to full benefits which include health, dental,
disability, life insurance, USciences tuition remission and reimbursement, health
care, dependent care and transit reimbursement accounts, and access to the
University’s athletic recreation center For

Paid time off includes nine standard University holidays 5
vacation days, 3 personal days, 2 floating holidays, and 5 sick days per year. Fellows may carry-over up to 5 vacation days
into year two of the fellowship. The fellow will not be financially compensated
for any unused leave time.
Approved leaves of absence are granted per the USciences Employee
Handbook Time Away from Work Policy. Leave of absence cannot exceed 3 months
and any leave time which exceeds unused time accrued will be unpaid. Fellows will
not receive benefits during a leave of absence.
The fellow will have a designated work area in an office shared with other fellows. The fellow will have access to one Microsoft Office-compatible desktop computer and printer for their personal use in their USciences office. Through USciences, the fellow has access to a wide variety of Microsoft Office-based computer software programs for word processing, data management and data analysis. USciences also maintains a password protected web-based teaching tool, learning management system, for maintaining practice site related documents such as readings, guidelines, and protocols, as well as teaching-related materials for didactic and experiential teaching. Administrative assistant support for word-processing, editing and formatting of resident work-related materials and correspondence will also be provided.
